Services:

  • Food and Nutrition:
    • Soup Kitchen-Daily 5:30 to 6:30 pm
    • Food Bank- Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays-From 2:00 to 4:00 pm
      Wednesday-7:00 to 9:00 pm
  • Transportation Services:
    • On weekday mornings the FCAA operates a free Van Run that transports people to a variety of Human Service Agencies located around Frederick City.
  • Health Care Programs:
    • Primary health care clinic for people who are homeless, enrolled in MD Primary Care, or have medical assistance.
    • Medbank Program to help people obtain free or low cost prescription medications.
    • Maryland Primary Care Program: Provides primary health care for low-income adults who are recipients of Maryland Pharmacy Assistance.
  • Service for the Homeless:
    • Day Shelter for the homeless
    • Care management
    • Transitional shelter and apartments for families and physically disabled adults.
  • Housing Assistance Programs:
    • Weatherization Assistance Program: to lower energy costs, most have incomes at or below 150% of the federal poverty level and meet other criteria.
    • Housing Rehabilitation Program: The FCCA provides small grants (usually less than $5,000) to lower income homeowners to address emergency and/or health and safety repairs in owner-occupied housing.
    • Lead-Based paint Hazard Reduction Program: The program provides grants to assist both home owners and renters.
    • Rental Housing Program: The FCAA manages several units of rental housing in downtown Frederick.
    • Housing Counseling: Case management for people in permanent housing. Foreclosure and reverse mortgage counseling. Rental counseling.
    • Education and Employment Programs:The FCCA hosts a variety of adult educational programs including Adult Basic Education (ABE) and General Education Development (GED) classes which are taught by the Division of Adult Education of Frederick County Public Schools.
